Amman, January 9 (Petra) – Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court, Yousef Issawi, who also heads the committee overseeing the implementation of His Majesty King Abdullah II’s initiatives, conducted inspections on Thursday of royal initiative projects underway in the Capital Governorate.
In Juwaida, Issawi inspected the rehabilitation and maintenance of housing for the elderly under the White Family Association. This initiative, directed by His Majesty King Abdullah II, aims to improve care services for elderly residents. Accompanied by Minister of Social Development Wafa Bani Mustafa and Governor of the Capital Yasser Adwan, Issawi reviewed progress on the facility, which will soon be fully furnished and prepared for residents’ return.
In Muwaqqar District, he assessed the development of a public park initiated under royal directives issued after His Majesty’s meeting with community leaders from the Central Badia. The park, which has reached 60% completion, is part of the Safe Parks Initiative in collaboration with the Zaha Cultural Center. It will feature facilities including family seating areas, green spaces, and safe playgrounds for children, alongside walking paths. Construction is expected to conclude within two months.
Issawi also visited the Zaha Cultural Center in Mustanada, which provides educational, training, and recreational services, along with community engagement programs.
Established in 2018 under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, the center includes training halls, activity spaces, and modern educational plantings as part of the “Supporting Greening Activities on Rooftops and Raising Awareness in Local Communities” project. Issawi stressed the need for the center to maintain high standards in its programs, ensuring quality service delivery.
In press statements, Issawi highlighted that royal initiatives across Jordan address critical community needs and contribute to advancing development and services throughout the Kingdom. Implemented in partnership with government entities, civil society organizations, and the private sector, these projects aim to uplift diverse segments of society, particularly youth, women, and children.
