California, June 17 (Petra) — His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al
Hussein bin Abdullah II on Wednesday met with Austria Vice-Chancellor
and Federal Minister for Housing, Arts, Culture, Media, and Sport
Andreas Babler.
During the meeting, held in California on the sidelines of the 2026
FIFA World Cup match between the Jordanian and Austrian national
football teams, the Crown Prince expressed his best wishes to both
teams in the World Cup, highlighting how sporting events provide
opportunities to strengthen the close ties between the two countries.
His Royal Highness emphasised the importance of Austria’s
participation in the Jordan-EU Investment Conference, which will be
held at the end of this year.
The Crown Prince congratulated Austria on its election as a
non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, noting
its important role in supporting efforts to promote peace, security,
and stability around the world.
Jordan’s Ambassador to the United States Dina Kawar and Director of
the Office of the Crown Prince Zaid Baqain attended the meeting.
