Amman, June 11 (Petra) — Phone calls made by HRH Crown Prince Al
Hussein bin Abdullah II to check on health of injured Jordan national
football team players have helped raise their morale and strengthen
their confidence in overcoming injuries and returning to action in
the coming period.
During the past period, Crown Prince contacted a number of national
team players sidelined by injuries that prevented their participation
to represent Al Nashama, checking on their health and reiterating his
support throughout their treatment and rehabilitation stages.
National team player Ibrahim Sabra said the Crown Prince’s call had a
significant impact in easing his injury challenges, noting His Royal
Highness’s words provided strong motivation to continue his
rehabilitation program and work to return to the pitch in the best
possible condition.
Sabra said the Crown Prince’s attention and follow-up of injured
players reflect genuine care and support during difficult
circumstances, adding that such encouragement gives players a major
morale boost and strengthens their determination to overcome setbacks
and rejoin the national team as soon as possible.
He added that the “gesture was not surprising and remains a source of
pride” for all national team players, who consistently feel the Crown
Prince’s close support and interest in their sporting careers.
For his part, national team player Issam Al Samiri said the Crown
Prince’s communication with him after his injury helped ease the
disappointment of his absence from the squad, particularly during a
historic period after Jordan’s qualification for the 2026 FIFA World
Cup.
Al Samiri said the conversation carried strong messages of support
and encouragement, boosting his morale and reinforcing his confidence
in returning stronger after completing treatment. He added that the
Crown Prince’s attention to players’ circumstances leaves a lasting
positive impact.
He noted players deeply appreciate this humanitarian gesture, which
reflects the Crown Prince’s close connection with them and his
continued concern for their well-being, adding that such support
provides extra motivation to work harder and represent Jordan in the
best possible way.
National team players said the Crown Prince’s continued support and
follow-up serve as a major source of encouragement during injury
periods and strengthen their determination to return to represent Al
Nashama and contribute to the team’s ongoing achievements.
