Ministry Explores Employing AI in Scientific Resources
Muscat,
7 Oct 2026 (ONA) — The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, represented by
the Literary Forum and in cooperation with Muscat College, organized a
specialized event titled “Employing Artificial Intelligence in Scientific
Resources.”
The
event was presented by Dr. Arabi Madbouli, aiming to focus on modern digital
transformations witnessed by the global scientific research system and how to
leverage them locally.
The
event sought to provide a precise and deep introduction to the methods and mechanisms
of employing modern artificial intelligence technologies effectively and with
high responsibility when dealing with scientific repositories and resources,
alongside a broad review of practical applications and solutions supporting
researchers and workers in the academic field throughout various stages and
procedures of scientific research.
The
detailed objectives of the event included empowering participants to understand
the pivotal role that artificial intelligence has come to play in the quality and
development of scientific production, developing advanced research skills for
fast and smart access to sources and references, as well as training on
utilizing smart tools to read, analyze, and critique studies and research with
high accuracy and efficiency.
The
event also aimed to assist researchers in constructing and developing
literature reviews and accurately tracking research gaps, while enhancing their
capabilities in verifying the validity and reliability of information and
sources, and consolidating an enlightened understanding of ethical aspects,
publishing controls, and the responsible use of technology in academic circles.
