Amman, June 2 (Petra) — The Eastern Military Zone on Tuesday evening
thwarted an attempt to smuggle narcotics using electronically guided
balloons.
In a statement issued by Jordan ARmed Forces (JAF), Border Guard
units detected, engaged, and downed the balloons and their cargo
inside Jordanian territory, in coordination with security agencies
and the Anti-Narcotics Department.
The statement added that the seized materials were referred to the
relevant authorities to take legal action.
