Amman, Oct. 1 (Petra) – The Embassy of Malaysia in Amman hosted the
Malaysia Tourism Networking Luncheon on Thursday, in collaboration
with the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) to deepen bilateral cooperation,
enhance destination visibility, and promote the Visit Malaysia
2026–2027 campaign.
The event served as a collaborative platform to strengthen industry
linkages and boost two-way travel between Amman and Kuala Lumpur.
Ambassador of Malaysia to Jordan Dato’ Mohamad Nasri Abdul Rahman
noted the “vital role” of the Jordanian market for Malaysian tourism.
“For Malaysia, Visit Malaysia is more than a tourism campaign. It is
an opportunity to share our culture, natural beauty, and the warmth
of our people,” said the ambassador. “We offer a unique combination
of safety, value-for-money, world-class shopping, and a naturally
Muslim-friendly environment with accessible Halal dining and prayer
facilities that resonate strongly with Jordanian families and leisure
travellers.”
In 2025, Malaysia received 8,957 visitors from Jordan, while 8,033
Malaysians traveled to Jordan, according to the ambassador.
Active participation from major stakeholders, including the Jordan
Inbound Tour Operators Association, the hotel sector, and outbound
travel agencies, underscored the event’s success.
The luncheon was attended by JTB Director General Ramzi Maaytah as
Guest of Honour alongside key Jordanian travel trade leaders, tour
operators, hospitality representatives, and media.
