Environment Ministry launches “Our Cleanliness is Our Culture” campaign

Amman, June 23 (Petra) – The Ministry of Environment on Tuesday
launched a nationwide campaign titled “Our Cleanliness is Our
Culture” to promote environmental awareness and responsible public
behavior during large gatherings.

Coinciding with the 2026 World Cup games, the campaign reinforces
public cleanliness at fan zones and public viewing sites across the
Kingdom, including venues in Amman, Aqaba, Jerash, Irbid, Karak,
Madaba, Balqa, and Zarqa.

Organizers distributed more than 15,000 reusable waste bags to
spectators, and provided 10,000 biodegradable bags for post-event
cleanup efforts.

Members from government agencies, municipalities, environmental
police, youth centers, and volunteers from the All Jordan Youth
Commission (AJYC) participated in the community program.

The ministry established the initiative in coordination with the
Ministry of Youth, Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), the Aqaba
Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), and other institutions
across the Kingdom.

Supporting the national team also means helping keep public spaces,
archaeological sites, and sports venues clean, the ministry stressed.
