European Stocks Rise at Start of Trading

Paris, August 25 (QNA) – European stock markets opened higher on Tuesday, as investors await the quarterly results of US chipmaking giant Nvidia, along with the meeting of central bank governors in Jackson Hole later this week.
Among the major European markets, France’s CAC 40 index in Paris rose 0.50%, while Germany’s DAX index in Frankfurt gained 0.44%.
Meanwhile, the UK’s FTSE 100 index in London rose 0.11%, while Italy’s FTSE MIB index in Milan climbed 0.54%. (QNA)
