Amman, March 8 (Petra) — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi discussed the dangerous escalation in the region and prospects for restoring calm with Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister.
During a telephone call he received from Dar on Sunday, Safadi affirmed Jordan’s condemnation of the Iranian attacks on Jordan and on the brotherly Gulf Arab states, rejecting the attacks as an unjustified escalation and a blatant violation of international law and the sovereignty of states.
Safadi said Jordan would take all necessary and available steps to protect its citizens and safeguard its security, stability, and sovereignty.
Dar, for his part, affirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with Jordan.
