FM, Slovenian Counterpart Discuss Ties, Regional Developments

Amman, June 18 (Petra) — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister
Ayman Safadi on Thursday held talks with Slovenian Foreign Minister
Tone Kajzer on relations and regional developments.

During a phone call, Safadi congratulated Kajzer on her new
responsibilities as Slovenia’s foreign minister, discussed ways to
strengthen bilateral relations and build on progress and expand
cooperation across various sectors of mutual interest.

According to a Foreign Minsitry statement, the two ministers also
went over efforts to de-escalate regional tensions and restore
security and stability, after the United States and Iran signed a
memorandum of understanding for this purpose.

Safadi and Kajzer agreed to maintain joint coordination and
consultation to follow up on efforts to enhance cooperation between
the two friendly countries and address issues of mutual regional and
international concern.
