Gold Hovers Near Record High on Rate-Cut HopesSingapore, 8 Sep (ONA) — Gold held firm near a record high today, inching closer to a key $3,600 level, bolstered by mounting expectations of a US Federal Reserve rate cut this month following a weaker-than-expected jobs report last week. Spot gold settled at $3,586.81 per ounce, after hitting an all-time high of $3,599.89 on Friday. US gold futures for December delivery slipped 0.7% to $3,626.10.
