Amman, Oct. 6 (Petra) — Gold prices rose Wednesday on expectations
that the U.S. Federal Reserve’s interest rate increase this month
will dissipate pressures caused by the rising dollar and Treasury
bond yields.
According to Bloomberg, gold rose 0.7% in spot trading to $4,168.89
per ounce, while U.S. gold futures also rose 1% to $4,196.9.
As for other precious metals, silver rose 0.6% in spot trading to
$61.4419, platinum fell 0.5% to $1,712.01, and palladium declined
0.7% to $1,164.73.
