prices held steady today as traders awaited the release of US inflation data
later this week for clues on the Federal Reserve’s interest rate trajectory.
Spot gold remained flat at $4,424.40
per ounce, while US gold futures for December delivery edged down 0.1 percent
to $4,471.60 per ounce.
Among other precious metals, spot
silver held steady at $66.21 per ounce, platinum slipped 0.7 percent to
$1,807.38 per ounce, and palladium eased 0.4 percent to $1,393.00 per ounce.
