Golf Stars’ Participation in 2024 Hassan II Trophy Establishes Morocco as Prime Destination for Golfers (Organizers)

Speaking at a press conference organized at the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in Rabat to present these two sporting events, president of PGA Tour Champions, Miller Brady, said that the participation of the best international golf players in the Hassan II Trophy reflects the reputation of this international sporting event for more than 50 years.

He pointed out that the Hassan II Trophy will experience stiff competition this year, notably with the participation of reigning champion, Canadian Stephen Ames, alongside former winners, such as Scottish Colin Montgomerie (1997) and Spaniard Santiago Luna, tournament record holder with three titles (1998, 2002 and 2003).

For his part, 2nd deputy deputy-president of the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation (FRMG), Hassan El Mansouri, said that this 48th edition of the Hassan II Trophy, organized under the theme “Champions Are Back”, will be exceptional.

This edition will be exceptional because it is also organized under the banner of PGA Tour Champions, which takes place in only a few countries outside the United States, including Morocco, he pointed out.

Kids are also in the spotlight during the “Pro-Am Hassan II Kids Cup by First Tee” which will bring together teams made up of professional players from PGA Tour Champions and the Ladies European Tour, and young golfers from the national program “First Tee Morocco “, El Mansouri added.

The organizers of the 48th Hassan II Trophy and the 27th Lalla Meryem Golf Cup on Tuesday underlined that the participation of golf stars in the 2024 edition establishes the Kingdom as a prime destination for golfers.
