Minister of Health Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim met on Thursday with the Wali of South Kordofan State, Lieutenant General (Police) Mohamed Abdel-Rahim Kafi, and his accompanying delegation to discuss a comprehensive health recovery plan and support for medical services in the state. The Minister emphasized the need for urgent interventions to ensure the continuity of healthcare services and the operation of hospitals and health centers, particularly in Dilling, Om Bekheita and Kadugli. The meeting also discussed strengthening emergency services, combating epidemics, restoring specialized medical services, operating dialysis centers, expanding blood bank services, providing solar power for health facilities and supporting disease-control programmes. The Wali expressed his appreciation for the Federal Ministry of Health’s efforts and rapid response to the needs of the state, stressing the importance of continued support to ensure the stability of healthcare services.BH/BH
