Amman, Oct. 11 (Petra) – Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Emad
Hijazeen inaugurated the 11th edition of HORECA Jordan on Sunday at
the Jordan International Exhibition Center in Mecca Mall.
The international trade show showcases over 180 local and global
brands specializing in hospitality, hotel equipment, food service,
and culinary technology.
During his tour of the exhibition, Hijazeen stated that HORECA is a
“central hub” connecting hospitality suppliers, industry
decision-makers, and investors.
He noted that the event drives sector growth, fosters business
partnerships, and elevates overall service quality across Jordan’s
tourism industry.
This year’s event features comprehensive culinary and service
competitions designed to benchmark regional talent against
international standards.
Over 250 industry professionals are competing, including more than
190 chefs participating in 25 culinary categories judged by top local
and international panels.
The showcase also hosts barista and latte art competitions, daily
technical workshops, and the Art of Service Competition, offering
culinary students and young professionals hands-on exposure to
industry leaders.
HORECA Jordan is supported by the Ministry of Tourism and
Antiquities, the Jordan Tourism Board, the Jordan Hotel Association,
and the Jordan Restaurant Association, with international culinary
events staged alongside the Jordanian Chefs Association and
Worldchefs.
Building on last year’s attendance of nearly 17,000 trade
professionals, the three-day exhibition continues to strengthen
Jordan’s position as a regional hospitality leader.
