Amman, June 23 (Petra) — Chairman of Lower House Foreign Affairs
Committee Haitham Ziyadin discussed with South Africa’s Ambassador to
Jordan, Tselane Mokuena, ways to strengthen relations and expand
cooperation across various sectors.

During a meeting held at the House’s headquarters, Ziyadin
highlighted the “deep-rooted” Jordanian-South African relations,
calling for building on existing cooperation by broadening
partnership opportunities in the political, economic, investment and
cultural fields to serve mutual interests.

Ziyadin underscored the role of parliamentary diplomacy in advancing
relations between countries, affirming the House of Representatives’
commitment to strengthening ties with the South African Parliament
and exchanging parliamentary expertise to support of issues of
common interest.

At the various levels, Ziyadin reviewed Jordan’s positions under His
Majesty King Abdullah II’s leadership on regional and international
issues, outlining the Kingdom’s efforts to promote security and
stability in the region.

He also stressed the importance of dialogue and cooperation in
addressing current challenges.

For her part, Mokuena reiterated her country’s commitment to
enhancing relations with Jordan across various sectors, emphasizing
the importance of continued coordination and consultation to advance
shared interests and open broader prospects for future cooperation.

The two sides also exchanged views on a slew of regional and
international issues of mutual concern and calling for strengthening
coordination and cooperation in support of regional and international
security and stability.
