Amman, Jan. 5 (Petra) – The Lower House’s Palestine Committee commended Jordanian diplomacy, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, for its significant role in regional and international forums, as reflected in the government’s actions.
In a statement by its chairman, MP Suleiman Al-Saud, the committee praised the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs for its persistent efforts and follow-up, which resulted in the release of Jordanian doctor Abdullah Balawi. He had been detained by Israeli authorities while crossing to participate in a medical relief mission bound for Gaza.
Al-Saud emphasized that the Foreign Ministry, under royal directives, continuously monitors the conditions of Jordanians abroad and provides them with all forms of support and assistance under various circumstances.
