Ramallah, June 15 (QNA) – Israeli occupation authorities on Monday renewed administrative detention orders against 33 Palestinian prisoners held across Israeli prisons and detention centers.
In a joint statement issued on Monday, the Palestinian Commission of Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club stated that the occupation continues to escalate its use of administrative detention under the pretext of a secret file, noting that the number of administrative detainees reached 3,376 as of last May.آ
Administrative detention involves imprisonment without charge or trial, and denies detainees and their legal counsel access to evidence files, in clear violation of international humanitarian law.آ (QNA)
