Amman, July 16 (QNA) – The Jordanian Armed Forces announced that its air defense systems intercepted eight Iranian missiles targeting the Kingdom’s territory early Thursday morning.
A military source at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces confirmed that the interception was carried out within the framework of established defensive and operational procedures, and resulted in no injuries or material damage.
The source stated that Royal Engineering Corps teams dealt with the debris that fell in several locations and secured them according to technical and security procedures.
It emphasized that the Jordanian Armed Forces continue to monitor the airspace at the highest level of readiness, and affirmed that they will deal with any threat according to the established rules of engagement. (QNA)
