Amman, July 20 (Petra) – Lower House Speaker Mazen Qadi met with EU
Ambassador to Jordan Pierre-Christophe Chatzisavas on Monday to
discuss boosting parliamentary cooperation.
Qadi pointed to the deep ties between Jordan and the EU, expressing
the House’s appreciation for the bloc’s continuous support. He noted
that Jordan, under His Majesty King Abdullah II’s leadership, is
advancing comprehensive political, economic, and administrative
reforms to expand public participation in decision-making.
He iterated the Kingdom’s firm stance on regional stability,
reaffirming that a two-state solution is the only path to a sovereign
Palestinian state.
Chatzisavas, for his part, described Jordan as a highly trusted
strategic partner. He praised King Abdullah II’s pivotal role in
fostering regional peace and pledged the EU’s commitment to
supporting the Kingdom across parliamentary, investment, and
developmental sectors.
