Amman, July 8 (Petra) — The prosthetics clinic at the Jordanian
Field Hospital South Gaza/10 continues to provide medical and
humanitarian services to Palestinians.

The effort comes under the “Restore Hope” initiative, launched by the
Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), aimed to help amputees regain
mobility and resume their daily lives.

Recently, the clinic has been reinforced with more than 1,000
advanced prosthetic limbs delivered by the JAF.

Using modern technology, medical teams can take measurements,
manufacture, fit and deliver a permanent prosthetic limb within two
hours, tailored to each patient’s condition, functional needs and
anticipated physical changes.

The clinic also provides prosthetic limbs designed specifically for
children to accommodate different stages of growth, as well as
flexible carbon-fiber prosthetic feet suited to the damaged terrain
across the Gaza Strip.

A specialized team of prosthetists and physiotherapists oversees
patients’ rehabilitation before and after prosthetic fitting
processes, supporting restoration of mobility, balance and physical
independence.

The initiative forms part of the JAF’s humanitarian and medical role
to ease the suffering of Palestinians and support their recovery,
according to a JAF statement.

Since the current hospital rotation began, the clinic has fitted 126
upper- and lower-limb prostheses. Since the launch of the “Restore
Hope” initiative, more than 1,200 prosthetic limbs have been provided
to patients in Gaza.
