Amman, June 17 (Petra) – A specialized surgical team at the Jordanian
Field Hospital South Gaza/10 successfully performed a branchial cyst
excision on Wednesday for a 58-year-old patient.
The patient suffered for more than a year from a large, abnormal
cyst, progressively impairing swallowing and breathing. The mass also
exerted pressure on major blood vessels, reducing flow to the brain.
The mass was entirely removed without complications despite the
medical challenges posed by the cyst’s size and proximity to vital
structures and sensitive blood vessels in the neck.
