Jordan Industrial Estates pledges support for investors

Ramtha, 25 June (Petra) — The Jordan Industrial Estates Company
(JIEC) on Thursday underlined its commitment to supporting industrial
investors and addressing their concerns in coordination with relevant
authorities to facilitate business operations.

Chairman of the JIEC Board of Directors Obaid Yassin said during a
joint meeting of the board and investors at Al-Hassan Industrial City
that the corporation, together with its executive management,
continues to review the status of industrial investments and explore
mechanisms to enhance investor services, in line with an upcoming
strategic transformation plan that aims to enhance logistics,
storage, and shipping services.

He said the corporation is working to streamline services and resolve
challenges facing investors, noting that a partnership council
between the board, management, and investors will soon begin
operations to address issues on a continuous basis and coordinate
with official bodies in line with the Economic Modernization Vision.

Director General of the JIEC Adey Obaidat said the company is
continuing to serve investors across all industrial estates,
particularly Al Hassan Industrial City, the largest industrial hub in
northern Jordan. He pointed to recent upgrades to infrastructure
services, while additional solutions in energy, water, and customs
clearance are under review to reduce production costs.

Investors at the meeting called for improvements in infrastructure
services and the establishment of empowered liaison offices for
government entities, alongside sustainable solutions for energy and
water, citing rising occupancy levels of nearly 98 percent in the
city.
