Amman, June 3 (Petra) – Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs
Ayman Safadi held a telephone conversation on Wednesday with Iraqi
Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein to discuss ways to
strengthen relations and review regional developments.
Safadi and Hussein called for intensifying efforts to end the current
regional escalation and restore calm. They called for a comprehensive
solution to the ongoing tensions based on principles that ensure
lasting security and stability, uphold international law and promote
good-neighborly relations.
Safadi congratulated Hussein on his reappointment as Iraq’s Deputy
Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs in the new Iraqi
government.
