Amman, July 20 (Petra) — The Jordanian Society for Medical Aid for
Palestinians (MAP Jordan) on Monday inaugurated specialist outpatient
clinics in Al Sukhnah Camp in Zarqa, with support from the Indonesian
people, expanding access to specialized healthcare for camp residents
and nearby communities.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Indonesian ambassador to
Jordan, alongside government officials, representatives of supporting
organizations and other dignitaries, according to a press release by
the society.

The new facility offers specialist services in ophthalmology,
obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics and orthopedics, in addition to
diagnostic and support units, including radiology, laboratory and
pharmacy services, it said.

The clinics will operate in line with high-quality healthcare
standards to better meet patients’ needs and reduce the need to
travel for specialist treatment, the statement said.

Michel Sayegh, chairman of the MAP administrative board, thanked the
Indonesian people, the Indonesian Embassy in Jordan, the Department
of Palestinian Affairs and all supporters whose contributions enabled
the MAP to open its fourth medical facility.

He said the opening of the Sukhna Camp specialist clinics reflects
the strength of the humanitarian partnership and the shared
commitment to improving healthcare services.

Executive Director Shereen Shaheen said the MAP will continue working
with its partners and donors to further develop its healthcare
services in line with its mission to provide comprehensive healthcare
and improve the quality of life of Palestinian refugees in Jordan.
