Amman, Sept. 22 (Petra) – Minister of Agriculture Saeb Khraisat met on Monday with South African Ambassador to Jordan Tselane Mokuena and the UN Women representative in Jordan, Nicolas Burniat, to discuss a South African initiative to provide a development grant through the IBSA group for a sustainable agricultural project producing cut flowers in Tafila governorate.
The project aims to utilize treated water from the new Tafila wastewater treatment plant for cut flower cultivation, creating job opportunities for women in the region.
Ambassador Mokwena expressed pride in the cooperation to implement the joint development project.
