Amman, Oct. 19 (Petra) – The Arab Union for International Exhibitions
and Conferences (AUIEC) and the Arab Academics and Scientists Union
(AASU) renewed their memorandum of understanding on Monday to bolster
strategic cooperation in education, technology, innovation, and event
organization.
Under the agreement, the organizations will establish an executive
framework for joint conferences and co-host an integrated educational
technology exhibition in Jordan in 2027. The upcoming expo will bring
together academic institutions, tech companies, and investors.
AUIEC Secretary-General Mahmoud Jarrah said that the agreement seeks
to elevate the Arab exhibition sector, foster economic growth, and
align scientific research with labor market needs.
He added that the 2027 ed-tech expo will draw regional and
international universities and tech firms.
AASU Secretary-General Ahmed Kamel noted the importance of bridging
the gap between academia and industry. He said that the joint expo
will showcase modern educational technologies, including artificial
intelligence (AI), and provide a platform to convert academic
research and youth innovation into practical applications across the
Arab world.
