Amman, Oct. 19 (Petra) – Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA)
President Ayman Alawneh and UAE Ambassador to Jordan Sultan Al Shamsi
discussed ways to enhance bilateral economic and investment relations
and expand cooperation between business communities.

The talks focused on investment opportunities in priority sectors,
particularly energy, mining, industry, and tourism, as well as
prospects for joint ventures involving the private sectors of both
countries, the JBA said in a press release.

Alawneh highlighted existing UAE investments in Jordan, including the
Aqaba Port railway project and projects supported by the Abu Dhabi
Fund for Development in education, energy, and water.

He stressed the importance of expanding Emarati investment in
emerging economic sectors, which supports sustainable development
efforts and job creation.

Al Shamsi reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to cementing economic and
investment relations with Jordan, emphasizing cooperation between
private sector institutions and the identification of new
opportunities for business.

He also called for closer coordination between relevant authorities
