Amman, June 22 (Petra) – The Jordanian-Ukrainian Friendship Committee
at the Senate, chaired by Senator Ahmad Khudari, met Monday with
Ukrainian Ambassador Myroslava Shcherbatiuk to discuss prospects of
broader relations across various fields.
Khudari highlighted the deep Jordanian-Ukrainian relations, and
called for expanding economic, trade, investment, and tourism
cooperation, according to a committee statement. He also reaffirmed
Jordan’s commitment to further cementing relations with world
countries, promoting dialogue and peaceful solutions to conflicts,
and supporting international efforts to enhance regional security and
stability.
Shcherbatiuk said Ukraine recognized the level of relations with
Jordan, and spoke of an interest to develop cooperation in economic,
commercial, cultural, educational, investment, and tourism sectors.
She also stressed the importance of encouraging partnerships between
public and private sector institutions and exploring new
opportunities that serve both countries’ economies.
Committee members called for continued dialogue, coordination,
exchange of visits and expertise, and stronger parliamentary
engagement to further deepen bilateral ties.
