King meets Jordanian search, rescue team returning from Venezuela

Amman, July 20 (Petra) – His Majesty King Abdullah II on Monday met
with the Jordanian International Search and Rescue Team, affiliated
with the Public Security Directorate/Civil Defence Department, that
recently returned from a humanitarian mission to Venezuela where they
assisted with the aftermath of a double earthquake.

During the meeting, held at Al Husseiniya Palace, His Majesty was
briefed by the team commander on the mission and the team’s efforts
to support Venezuela’s search and rescue operations.

The King underscored that the team’s efforts are an immense point of
pride for the Jordanian people, commending the team for carrying out
their humanitarian duty with exemplary standards.

Public Security Directorate Director Maj. Gen. Obeidallah Maaytah and
Civil Defence Department Director Brig. Gen. Nasser Al Suwailmeen
attended the meeting.
