Amman, January 19 (Petra) — His Majesty King Abdullah II on Sunday received Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region in Iraq Masrour Barzani, according to a royal court statement.
The meeting, held at Basman Palace, covered the deep-rooted ties between Jordan and Iraq, with His Majesty expressing keenness to advance them across various sectors.
Discussions also covered means of expanding cooperation between Jordan and Kurdistan Region.
The meeting touched on current developments, especially in Gaza and Syria, with Barzani expressing appreciation for Jordan’s efforts, led by His Majesty, in pursuit of peace and stability in the Middle East.
