Power and Water Plants Hit by Iranian Attacks for Fourth Day
Kuwait, 21 Jul
2026 (ONA) — Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy
said today that several power generation and water desalination plants had been
targeted by Iranian attacks for the fourth consecutive day, causing fires at a
number of the facilities.
Emergency
teams responded to the incidents in coordination with the General Fire Force
and security agencies, managing to contain and extinguish the fires and assess
the damage, the ministry said in a statement. Teams have begun repair and
rehabilitation work.
A number of
generation units have been taken offline under precautionary procedures to
protect equipment and ensure the stability of the electricity and water
systems, the ministry added.
