Beirut, October 19 (QNA) – Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam discussed on Monday with Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy, who is visiting Beirut, the latest developments in Lebanon and the region.
The Lebanese PM affirmed during the meeting the importance of continuing Arab support towards Lebanon, especially when it comes to efforts aimed at achieving a complete Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon’s lands and ensuring the sovereignty of all its lands under sole Lebanese power.
For his part, the Arab League Secretary-General emphasized the priority accorded to Lebanon within the League’s agenda—a commitment reflected in a robust resolution issued by the League’s most recent Ministerial Council, which affirmed support for Lebanon—its state, its institutions, and its positions—as well as support for inter-Lebanese consensus.
