Amman, March 18 (Petra) — The Lower House Foreign Affairs Committee expressed its condolences to Kenya and Ethiopia over deadly floods, landslides and torrential rains that have hit wide areas in both countries, leaving hundreds dead and injured and causing extensive material damage.
In a statement on Wednesday, the committee affirmed the Jordanian Parliament’s solidarity with the two countries’ governments and peoples, stressing the need for “stronger” international cooperation to support nations affected by climate change and accelerating natural disasters.
The committee also wished a speedy recovery to the injured and safety for the missing, hoping mercy for the victims and patience and solace for their families.
