Amman, June 14 (Petra) — Moderate summer weather is forecast to
prevail across most parts of the Kingdom on Sunday and Monday, while
relatively hot to hot conditions are expected in the Jordan Valley,
the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Low clouds are also expected over northern regions, accompanied by
moderate northwesterly winds that may become active at times.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department, temperatures are
forecast to rise on Tuesday while remaining moderate in the highlands
and plains. Hot conditions will persist in the Badia, the Jordan
Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, with moderate northwesterly winds
prevailing.

A further increase in temperatures is expected on Wednesday. The
weather will remain moderate over mountainous areas and become
relatively hot to hot across the rest of the Kingdom. Winds will be
moderate northwesterly to northeasterly, occasionally becoming
active.

Expected temperatures in East Amman on Sunday will range between 28 C
and 16 C, while West Amman will record 26 C and 14 C. Temperatures in
the northern highlands are forecast at 24 C and 11 C, and in the
Sharah Highlands at 25 C and 10 C. The Badia regions will see
temperatures of 33 C and 15 C, while the plains will record 28 C and
16 C.

In the Jordan Valley, temperatures are expected to reach 35 C and 18
C in the northern areas and 39 C and 23 C in the southern areas. The
Dead Sea will record 37 C and 21 C, while Aqaba is forecast to see
highs of 39 C and lows of 23 C.
