Amman, June 17 (Petra) — Minister of Government Communication and
government spokesperson Mohammad Momani said on Wednesday that the
national football team’s match marked another step in the team’s
historic journey, stressing that achievement should not be measured
by the result of a single game, but by the experience, confidence and
ambitions it builds for the future.
In a post on X, Momani said the national team delivered a strong
performance against a formidable opponent despite the result,
demonstrating the fighting spirit that reflects the hard work and
effort that carried Jordan to the global tournament. He added that
the team’s performance reinforced confidence in the capabilities and
future of Jordanian football.
Momani said Jordan’s qualification for the FIFA World Cup finals
represents a national achievement that is a source of pride and marks
an important milestone in the country’s sporting history. He noted
that Jordan’s presence in its first-ever World Cup appearance was
commendable and projected a positive image of the Kingdom and its
athletes.
He added that the journey still holds many opportunities and
aspirations and that what has been achieved provides a strong
foundation for building on this accomplishment and securing further
successes in the future.
Momani praised the significant efforts of the national team’s
players, coaching staff and administrators, expressing confidence in
their ability to continue their campaign with determination and
represent Jordan in the best possible way on the international stage.
He stressed that Jordan’s leadership and people stand firmly behind
the national team and that the players will continue to be a source
