Amman, Sept. 21 (Petra) – The Ministry of Environment said on Sunday that the government is studying a proposal for a national initiative to distribute cloth bags instead of plastic ones.
The ministry added in a statement that the proposal was included in a draft plan aimed at promoting green growth and supporting the circular economy, in line with the sustainability pillars of the Economic Modernization Vision.
It noted that the plan will be announced after being approved by the government at the beginning of 2026, followed by a comprehensive media campaign in cooperation with partners.
