NNA – The Ministry of Public Works and Transport on Saturday continued rehabilitation and maintenance works along the international highway stretching from Nahr Ibrahim to Madfoun, through the appointed contractor.
The ongoing works involve asphalting the road and restoring damaged sections, with further phases set to include public safety measures such as road re-striping, the installation of reflective road studs, and new traffic signage.
In parallel, contractor crews are pressing ahead with maintenance operations on the coastal international highway between Beirut, Khaldeh, and Awali.nbsp;
These works focus primarily on executing infrastructure interventions to address chronic water overflow issues, particularly on the eastbound lanes opposite Shamsine Bakery.
The project will subsequently advance to include road resurfacing, restoration of damaged sections, and the implementation of traffic safety features.
