Morocco Strongly Condemns Extremists’ Incursion into Al-Aqsa Mosque Esplanade (FM)

According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, the Kingdom of Morocco expresses its rejection of all measures affecting the legal and historical status of the city of Al Quds and its holy places, including the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and all restrictions on the faithful’s access to its premises, stressing the need to preserve its civilizational and Islamic identity and to avoid any form of escalation and provocation.

The Kingdom of Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, Chairman of the Al Quds Committee, reaffirms that the establishment of a just and comprehensive peace and the promotion of lasting stability in the region depend on the establishment of an independent Palestinian State on the borders of June 1967 with Al Quds-East as its capital, in accordance with international legality resolutions and within the framework of the two-State solution.

Morocco, whose Sovereign HM King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, chairs the Al Quds Committee, under the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, strongly condemned the incursion by some extremists and their supporters into Al-Aqsa Mosque esplanade, as well as the provocative acts they committed in violation of its sacredness.
