Nablus, Jenin hold solidarity vigils with Jordan following Karak church attack

Amman, Oct. 25 (Petra) — Solidarity vigils were held on Sunday in
the West Bank governorates of Nablus and Jenin to express support for
the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and condemn the terrorist attack
targeting St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Karak, which resulted
in several casualties and injuries.

In Nablus, Governor Ghassan Daghlas participated in a vigil organized
by the governorate, local institutions, and national figures outside
the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. Participants underscored the
historical ties uniting the Jordanian and Palestinian peoples,
rejected attacks on places of worship, and reaffirmed the right to
practice religious rites safely.

In Jenin, Governor Kamal Abu Al-Rub, along with security sector
leaders and community representatives from Zababdeh, joined a
solidarity vigil organized by local churches to denounce the criminal
attack.

Abu Al-Rub noted that the gathering reflects genuine national and
human solidarity, emphasizing the importance of fostering tolerance
and standing united against acts that threaten community security and
stability.
