National Football Team Begins Training with Tribute to Late Fan Al-Damasi

Amman, June 25 (Petra) — The Jordan national football team opened
its training session on Thursday in preparation for its 2026 FIFA
World Cup match against Argentina, paying tribute to supporter Zaid
Al-Damasi, who passed away in Amman while attending the team’s match
against Algeria on Tuesday.

The session began with a minute of silence in his memory, followed by
the recitation of Al-Fatiha by players and members of the technical
and administrative staff, in a gesture of respect and appreciation
for the team’s supporters.

The tribute reflected the strong bond between the national team and
its fans, who continue to stand behind the squad in all
circumstances.
