Amman, Jan 21 (Petra) — Minister of Education, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Azmi Mahafzah and German Ambassador Bertram von Moltke Tuesday inaugurated construction of a new premises of the German embassy in the Amman neighborhood of Abdoun.
“The new building is a symbol of our strong relationship and friendship with Jordan, where there’s enough space to meet and work together, while respecting the local culture and traditions,” Moltke said during the opening ceremony, which was attended by German and Jordanian officials.
The new building will be environmentally sustainable, using natural cooling and solar energy systems, as well as rainwater storage and wastewater treatment, he said.
Moltke thanked Amman Mayor Yousef Shawarbeh and other relevant authorities for their efforts to accomplish the project.
