Burkina Faso Discuss Economic, Investment Partnerships
Muscat,
14 Dec 2025 (ONA) — Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry,
and Investment Promotion, met today with Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré, Burkina
Faso’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and Burkinabe Abroad,
within the framework of strengthening bilateral cooperation and exploring areas
of economic and investment partnership.
During
the meeting, opportunities for cooperation in a number of sectors of mutual
interest were reviewed, along with ways to develop trade exchange and encourage
reciprocal investments, thereby contributing to the achievement of common
interests and supporting economic growth for both sides.
The
two sides also discussed the importance of exchanging expertise, enhancing
communication between public and private sector institutions, and opening new
avenues for cooperation in commercial, industrial, and investment fields.
The
Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion affirmed the Sultanate
of Oman’s keenness to expand its economic partnerships with African countries,
aligning with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040, which aim to diversify the
economy, enhance the competitiveness of the business environment, and attract
quality investments.
This
meeting comes within the framework of the Ministry’s efforts to boost
international economic relations and build strategic partnerships that
contribute to supporting sustainable development and achieving shared
interests.
