Poetry Festival to Launch in December
Muscat,
31 Aug (ONA) — The 13th edition of Oman Poetry Festival will take place from 14
to 18 December 2025 in Muscat Governorate.
Organized
by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, the event will feature a
selection of Omani poets and guests from Arab nations.
Abdullah
Mohammed Al Harthy, Director General of Knowledge and Cultural Development at
the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, stated that Oman Poetry Festival is
among the most prominent cultural events organized by the ministry. It aims to
celebrate Omani poetry and its rich history, promote cultural dialogue and
exchange between different poetic generations, and highlight the Omani poetry
scene while providing a broad platform for poets to meet and share ideas and
experiences across the Arab world.
He
explained that this year, the ministry has ensured the festival returns with a
renewed format. The goal is to include diverse poetic generations and offer
opportunities for broad participation.
