The

The

supporting the investment ecosystem in the Sultanate of Oman and enhancing
integration between the capital market and national investment promotion

for corporate financing and expanding investment options to support private
sector growth and boost the capital market’s contribution to economic
development.
The

cooperation between GCC and British capital markets and exchange expertise and
experiences in developing financial markets, contributing to expanding the
investor base and enhancing international investment flows.
He

2040.
For
his part, Eng. Ahmed Akaak, CEO of the Special Economic Zone at Duqm, emphasized
that the zone’s participation in the GCC-UK Strategic Dialogue in the British
capital, London, comes within the efforts of the Public Authority for Special

and qualitative investment projects that deliver added value to the national
economy.

partner for the Sultanate of Oman, and that the dialogue represents an
opportunity to deepen cooperation with British institutions and companies,
attracting investments that contribute to localizing industries, transferring
knowledge and technology, enhancing value chains, and creating qualitative job
opportunities for national cadres.
He
expressed his anticipation, through participating in the GCC-UK Strategic
Dialogue, to build sustainable investment partnerships, introduce market-ready
investment opportunities, and transform them into actual projects that enhance
local added value and support the competitiveness of the national economy and
the targets of Oman Vision 2040.
The
dialogue included panel sessions and direct meetings between government
officials, investors, and corporate leaders, most notably a panel session
titled “Finance, Capital Markets, and Investments,” which addressed
developments in GCC capital markets, opportunities to enhance investment
cooperation with the United Kingdom, prospects for dual listings and attracting
international investors, as well as ways to facilitate the participation of
global financial institutions in GCC markets.
