Welcomes French President’s Announcement Recognizing Palestinian State

23 Sep (ONA) — The Sultanate of Oman has welcomed the announcement by the
President of the French Republic regarding his country’s recognition of the
Palestinian State, made during the the High-level International Conference for
the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of
the Two-State Solution, held in New York.
In
a statement issued today by the Foreign Ministry, the Sultanate of Oman
emphasized that this development represents an additional and encouraging step
on the path to realizing right and justice for the Palestinian people. It
expressed its hope that all countries of the world would follow the lead of the
vast majority of the international community in upholding the two-state
solution in accordance with international law and United Nations resolutions.
