Gaza, October 25 (QNA) – Ten students and a teacher were killed in the Gaza Strip between Oct. 18 and 24, 2026, amid Israeli gunfire and bombardment of residential areas, the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education said.
In a statement Sunday, the ministry added that an eight-year-old girl, the sole survivor of her family, which was wiped out when their home was bombed in late 2023, died of injuries sustained days earlier in Israeli fire salvos east of Deir Al-Balah.
The statement stressed that the international community and human rights organizations must shoulder their responsibilities to shield children and students, halt the Israeli occupation’s relentless violations against them, and ensure legal accountability under international law.
Israeli occupation forces continued prosecuting their war on the Gaza Strip by directing firepower at Palestinian homes and tents northeast of Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, while gunfire was also reported in the south and demolition operations took place east of Gaza City. (QNA)
