NNA – Prime Minister, Dr. Nawaf Salam, on Friday stressed that ldquo;restoring the wellbeing of institutions is the governmentrsquo;s supreme project to achieve recovery and sustainable development,rdquo; noting that ldquo;the role of women in leading and directing them is essential to the success of this project.rdquo;
Premier Salam also stressed that ldquo;the Reform and Salvation Government realizes that the responsibility in this regard is shared between the government and development partners, from non-governmental organizations, business community, and donors.rdquo;
Premier Salamrsquo;s words came during his patronage of a conference at the Grand Serail, entitled nbsp;ldquo;Towards Inclusive, Accountable and Gender-Responsive Institutionsrdquo;, organized by UN Women, in collaboration with the Institut des Finances Basil Fuleihan, marking International Womenrsquo;s Day 2025.
The event was attended by Premier Salamrsquo;s wife, Mrs. Sahar, Ministers of Social Affairs Haneen Sayed, Tourism Laura Al Khazen, and Environment Tamara El-Zein, as well as MPs: Inaya Ezzeddine, Ghada Ayoub, Ibrahim Mneimneh, Firas Hamdan, Mark Daou, in addition to the Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator for the United Nations Imran Riza, President of the Institut des Finances Basil Fuleihan Lamia Moubayed Bissat, and scores of ambassadors and representatives of United Nations bodies and international organizations.
