Affairs Undersecretary Receives Norwegian Ambassador’s Credentials, Holds Talks
with Yemeni Deputy FM Minister
Muscat, 23 Nov
2025 (ONA) — Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry
for Political Affairs, was presented with a copy of the credentials of Kjersti
Tromsdal, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to the
Sultanate of Oman.
Upon receiving
the Ambassador, the Undersecretary extended a warm welcome, wishing her every
success in her diplomatic mission and conveying his aspirations for the
continued advancement and flourishing of the bilateral relations between the
two nations.
The meeting was
attended by Najeeb bin Yahya Al Balushi, Head of the Protocols Department at
the Foreign Ministry, alongside senior officials from the Ministry.
In a separate
diplomatic engagement, Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign
Ministry for Political Affairs, met here with Mustafa Ahmed Noman, Vice
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Republic of Yemen.
The
discussions provided an opportunity to review the fraternal bilateral relations
and various facets of cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the
Republic of Yemen. The conversations also addressed the latest developments in
the Yemeni situation and the ongoing endeavours to forge a comprehensive
political and consensual resolution among the Yemeni parties. This sought-after
outcome is envisioned to culminate in the cessation of the conflict and the
restoration of stability and peace to Yemen.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Khaled Saleh
Shoteif, Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to the Sultanate of Oman, as well
as officials from the Foreign Ministry.
